Web Fetch Integration
Allow your AI assistant to fetch and analyze content from any web URL
Overview
The Web Fetch integration allows your AI assistant to retrieve and process content from web pages, articles, documentation, and other online resources. Perfect for analyzing specific pages, summarizing articles, or extracting information from websites.
Setup
Navigate to Settings
Go to Settings → Integrations → Policies in your Mimesys dashboard
Enable URL Fetching
Toggle on the URL Fetching option. This is enabled by default for all users.
Provide URLs
Simply include URLs in your messages, and the AI will automatically fetch and analyze the content when needed
Example Prompts
"Summarize this article: https://example.com/article"
"Fetch the content from https://docs.example.com and explain how to use their API"
"Compare the information on these two pages: [url1] and [url2]"
"Extract the main points from this blog post: https://blog.example.com/post"
How It Works

- Processing: Converts HTML to clean, readable text
- Analysis: AI processes the content to answer your question

Best Practices
Do
- Provide complete, valid URLs (http:// or https://)
- Be specific about what information you need
- Use for publicly accessible content
- Fetch one page at a time for best results
Avoid
- Login-required or paywalled content
- Very large documents (may be truncated)
- Expecting real-time content (cached briefly)
- JavaScript-heavy sites that require rendering
Limitations
- • Only fetches publicly accessible web pages
- • Cannot access content requiring authentication
- • May not work with heavily JavaScript-dependent sites
- • Content may be cached for 15 minutes
- • Subject to rate limits and content size restrictions
